  • Is there a recommended number of weekly tutoring sessions for the Orton Gillingham Approach to be effective?
The most common model is 1:1, with two weekly sessions on non-consecutive days. The frequency of lessons depends on the learning needs of each student.
  • How long are your tutoring sessions?
Each session is typically an hour.
  • What is the difference between an approach and a program?
A program is usually designed with a specific scope, sequence, and set of materials. An approach, on the other hand, is a personalized instructional guide tailored to the needs of each student. The scope and sequence of the approach start with the most common and basic concepts and then advance to more complex and less common ones. The materials selected are tailored to the needs of each student.
